A WHILE IT'S BEEN

Hello guys!

No the blog is not dead, I just needed some time away from it, but back in action, full force and all that shit. Because there is still music in this world that is just too fucked up and nasty to just let it go without proselytising about it. But before that I have a few things to say.

One, March was a postless month because I took part in the iternet boycot. No uploading or downloading anything for the entirety of March. Many of us decided to do this, if you wer ein on it, high five, if not, then I dunno, you must be an idiot. Or not. The reason I did it is because the SOPA act and the PIPA and the more brutal, European version, the ACTA are scray business. I dunno if the boycott had any effect on the ruling to get the fuck of our backs, and ACTA failing miserably in the court, although, to be real, I think that probably one or more of the judges just enjoys kiddie porn, or midget porn, or something, and he did not want it ruining his career, so, they shot it down.

Two, I went to a show yesterday of some band sthat I did not know were gonna be playing, and it rocked, spontaneous drunken moshpit, in a rehearsal room. I felt genuinely good, this cute girl was smelling me for some reason, our basist told her I smelt bad, so she checked. Its these littlr things that make a show fun, and of course, the weed and booze and general good sentiment also help a lot. One of the bands playing are friends, and half their team bucke don em, so they got new folks, ones who play music very differently than the ones who bucked, but it is still good. This is so rare and so fucking good when this happens, change your entire rhythm section and still have a good band? You must know something.

Three, I know posting has been next to nothing, but I have not even time to sleep. Even as we speak my wife is staring at me with these eyes that are saying "this is more important to you than me, you asshole?" How do you answer a question like that? I spend all of my time devoted to blastbeats, they literally gave me purpose in life and somehting to do. I have something that I love, that most people do not have. I am fairly okay at playing them too. Realy, its the only thing I have ever wanted to do wiht my life. Before I knew any of y'all, including me wifey, I knew blast beats. And this is not answering the question. Cana ny hiuman relationship be as all consuming? Does this make blastbeats more important? I dunno. I think I am afraid fo these questions.

Damage Digital have been mentioned before, they are like a zanier, more "Japanese" version of Discordance Axis. They are really crazy, the song structures and drum beats are basically the same, but with extra annoying high snare, god I love it. I dunno why I haven't put up their two full lengths albums yet,vas I have listened the shit out of them, they are a bit more serious than the shorts. Probably because they are a Cephalochromoscope band, they play the kind of music that has its place on that wonderful blog. Which is where I got both of these albums.

The next two tapes I wanna talk about are Agathocles stuff. The best AG material was written between 1994 adn 1998 in my humble opinion, and the best in that is when they played wiht that drummer guy who was really good at blastbeats. He was on all of their 95-96 shit. Most people do not like ot think of AG as being a good band, but they are. Even their live shit is killer on here. On one of the tapes they are playing n a radioshow, and it is fucking intense. Also on that tape is Rot form their classic, super burly, super primitive monkey noise attack of fucking rage state, when they were very sloppy and the songs were just SO good. On that tape also is the incredibly forgettable Masher. Mince band, though, so give em credit. Its hard to be Mince. The other tape is a live of AG and also has my special favorites Dahmer on it as well, and a creepy sounding, spazztic American or Canadian band (judging fomr the sound) called Jangle. They are kinda nice I guess. Too bad they released a tape with two of the best bands in the genre, because it is hard to get credit like that. Dahmer sounds hela raw and tight live. Sound Corrupter are also on here, they suck. Its like noise grind kindergarden.

Next up is the noisey, raw, raw shit of Melanocetus Murrayi. Truly unmarvelled in sheer pummeling onslaught of just garbage noise, this band can be exemplified in just one word: relentless.
The highlight of these tapes for me is the split with Industrial Noise. First off, Industrial Noise is fucking great, noise/grind or just raw grind, the music is weitten, but there si pplenty of just playing aorund in it too. Loose atmosphere, leaking almost. Its sick. And the MM side of it is like a noise grind band, but it sounds like a band, you can hear that there are insturments involved, its weird. Usually you dont know what the fuck is happening to your ear drums wiht these guys. Their self titled tape is like really fucking long, endless barage of noise. All of the tape rips were made by Marci, so big up for contribuiting.

So there was a hardcore band from the States called Deadfall. They released 3 EPs, did their thing, were around for a bit then split up. Then some of the members founded another band, called Nightstick Justice. The former was a fast, kinda political American hardcore, with, sometimes, blastbeats. The latter is more like an old school faster type of hardcore band, and is fucking killer. Not sure which one is better, overall, as they are both really good. I hardly know anything at all about these bands, but they are on par with Tear It Up for me.

Leaving you yet again with some classics. All of these were intended for the blog a long time ago anyhow, so yeah. The first is Entrails Massacre and their split with Cruel Face. Fuckin eh, EM in their prime, probably one of their best records ever. I own this one, but this is not my rip, my vinyl rips are just NOT sounding good at all. Maybe if I wasn't a complete idiot with machinery of any sort, this would not be an issue. Cruel Face are a Brazilian hardcore band that has leanings towards grind. It is fucking great, and on this recors I would say they are as good as Entrals Massacre's side. For me to say that is quite an honour, really, I have a serious soft spot for EM. Tons of blastbeats, good sound quality, in a way, although extra fuckin grimey. Highly recommended.
The other is Excruciating Terror. I have not put anything on here yet form tem, and I cannot seem to remember why. For a while, I only had this EP of them, and when I got a hold of their longer material, I was disappointed. The riffs were great, even cooler than Phobia riffs, but so sloppy, with the drumming so shitty, and the sound so high tech and sterile, it was aweful. Since then I have come to love those two albums, but like how one loves a relative who is insane. This EP however, is true love. The vocals are great, the sound is grimey and foggy, and all kinds of different flavors of fucked up. Sloppy and raw too. Really some of the best grind you can get.

Okay, short rant, then we are gonna do this quick like. People talk shit about discography CDs, but man, fuck all y'all, you guys are just sore cuz you bought the records, which is cool, so did I, for the most part, but then when they release something, other people can hear it too. If you own it on vinyl, don't buy the CD. The only reason your hating is because now other people get to hear it, who you do not deem worthy. And that is malicious. And malice is whack as fuck.

This is a pretty good double CD, Ima just put one of the CDs up, though, because its the better one. Its long, like 94 songs or some shit, but it does not have their split with Ice Nine on it, or I am just way too retarded, but I coulda sworn that one was missing. So Ima hit you with that seperately. By the way, I am sure you all own this, but if you dont, just get it, man, its good for you.

Another discography that lacks a bunch of shit, mostly early stuff, really good, I am sure you all own this as well. If not, get it. Classic, lives up to every inch of hype in my opinion, and that is a rare, rare thing indeed. Also gonna give you their best early work, the Rid The Cancer 7". Don't think it's on the discography, although I oculd be wrong, I never listen to it. I have all their shit separately, you see. Ain't I cool? Do you like me now?

Great Spanish screaming fastcore shit for you guys. Put up the split with Zanussi already, so you should have an idea of how awesome this band is. Since you guys know Destroy! is my all time favorite crust band, it should come as no surprise that I also like Code 13. They are the band that Felix Havoc did after Destroy!, and then he quit, or they threw him out, something happened, ways were parted, and while he was in it it was more crust, than later just old school 'Merican hardcore. A god bit of both, really, really fast. The other vocalist guy also fucking kicks ass. Everything thats good about hardcore is on this Cd somewhere, mostly sloppy as fuck.

This CD has some of the greatest Dahmer material on it. It does lack some of my favorites, but I have posted some of them, plus, I don't wanna post too much fo them, I wanna focus on new shit, and shit that was neglected, mostly. But, I mean, they are awesome. This one is available like fucking everywhere. Also, Ima put the splti with Fran and the Bitches on here. Two reasons, one, its long, two its not on the discography CD. Also, I really like it. Also, tis hard to find.

I don't know if this was just compiled, or if it is an existing CD, it might be like that Kuolema discography that was floating around, which was just one very generous dude's attempt to put all of their shit together. Anyhow, seems to have everything. Also, I hate to admit it, but this band has been out of my radar for a long time. I always heard of it, but I was always too busy with other bands. I feel ashamed, ths band fucking rules, real noisy and really fucking fast, somewhere in between old Napalm Death and Agathocles. Fucking everyone has played a cover of them, too. Also, there are like 90 tracks on here, but only like 35 songs. Each one is played at least 3 times, but often more.

I promised to put it up if Youth Attack ran out of copies, and I do believe that has happened. I own this one, its a beautiful record, seriously, it's fucking creepy, poignant, politically motivated, gritty and sad, what a small town American hardcore record should look like, not gonna put up pictures, go buy it. This band has some members of Charles Bronson, but are better than them. Some oof their early stuff is really a miss for me, but Melt, which I also have put on here, is genious, as all of their later stuff, and their split with Los Crudos as well. Plus they have a live set on here, which is fucking cool, they sound like no bullsiht solid ass people on the parts in between the songs.

Psychoneurosis- Ten Years On The Frontline

Great mincecore, sometimes thrash/hardcore band from Poland. The eary shit is unimpressive thrashy, grindy hardcore, still solid though, but the latter shit, when they come into their own is straight up amazing. Their split with Brutal Insanity is sheer genious, this is how mince/grind stuff should be, relentless, the sound is just grimmy enough, but you can hear everything, some pitch shifters, but not much, some crazy high end stuff, and the 7" inlay says there is a person called Sonja involved, so I guess, maybe female vocals there as well. Just great shit. ON here tis the last couple of tracks, but the whole thing is great, although the latter shit is much better than the earlier shit.

Ah, yes. Grind/noise/mince, sounds a lot like Violent Headache, whom I have a crush on, did a split with them, cover some of their songs. A bit like them also in that they have humorous, themed noisecore tracks, really short ones, of course. Lots fo fun this band is, their crusty-grind stuff is also really good, poor musicianship, but hey? Who the fuck cares. This band will etar your face off.

If you are interested in the rest of their stuff, which is rawer than 80% of crust bands, noisier than a lot of so-called noise bands, and more fucked up than pretty much anyone else in the genre, than I recommend you get this. No one has ever written music like these people. Ever.

So you guys might know I love garage, shitty sounding, lo-fi death metal, and the above posted Corpse Molestation shit led me to realize, I have been neglecting the super fast, garbage death metal that got me into blast beats in the first place. Shame on me. Here are three little things to make you think.

Lier In Wait- Equinox, Twilight of the Gods

A litle bit melodic and sad, which I hate, the reason I put this up here is because of the blast beats. This shit is amazing. Also from 1992, if I remember correctly, so super amazing. As for the vocals, you can hardly hear them, but they are weak ass growls, the guitars play melodies for the most part, the slow parts are hard to get through, lots of melody. Super rare though. MOst fo you would hate this shit.

Liers In Wait- Spiritually Uncontrolled Art

This shit is Swedish Death Metal at its best. No to be confused with the above mentioned band. Obscure, fucked up, no thrills or frills, their logo is really cool looking, too. Not the fastest music out there, but its written in a way as to not give you too much time to think, its up tempo, I'll say that much.

Invocator demos

So Invocator are a teched out thrash metal band form the late 80s early 90s Danish scene, they fucking slay, these are all of the demos that are available from them in one neat little format. Like every song on here is a classic, much better than their albums, sad to say. Their first wasn't bad, but the second is just bullshit. Anyhow, the demos rule. Kind of lo-fi, dungeon sounding, tape hiss tio high heaven, kinda teched out, lots of riffage, the drummer is so on point its painful. Also, no blast beats on this one. Getting soft, I know.

Autopsy- Retribution For The Dead

Autopsy- Ridden With Disease CD

Slow death metal from the fucking depths of hell. Insane, neurotic, truly obsessed with death and disease, this band is awesome, they play music that is death/doom, like a funeral dirge made by people who think your death is a joyous occasion. The Ridden With Disease CD has their I think 3 demos, it's my own rip, so it might be crappy, and it has some rare live stuff, and a nasty ass cover of a childs drawing of some woman with worms and sores and shit. Naaaaasty shit. Retribution for The Dead is more like the Autopsy everybody knows and loves, not as thrashy as on the earlier demos. Both are great. If you don't happen to know this band, its old ass death metal, do yourself a favor and get to know them. It doesn't matter what kinda music you like, they fucking rule, and in your heart of hearts, you will know this.

Struggle 7"

What with all of the Charles Bronson shit going around, here is the Struggle 7", super political, sXe sounding band, kinda slow, really really 90s. But it's fucking cool to listen to, head bobbin the whole time, really obnoxious, explaining shit to you vocals. This is sort of a European band in their mentality, but the music and lyrics are distinctly American. It's a good listen, heady topics, nice sound, a bit too clean for me, but fuckin nice none the less.

Skitslakt- Victim

Got this form Sean's blog called Damaging Noise, you can see the link on the side there, one of the bets blogs out there. So this would be an update of the blastbeat crusts topic, this band is Swedish, they kick ass, they are like a stereotypical crust band, with songs being exactly what you would imgine, plus blastbeats. Its raw, its dirty as fuck, its sloppy, its fast, and in your fucking face. Vocals are really good on here as well.

So I have not done anything no harsh noise on here. As you can guess, with all f the noise grind I post, I fucking love just straight up harsh noise as well. I don't like it nearly as much as grind, but I like it. And the masters of it to me are clearly Guilty Connector, and his mighty Utsu Tapes. Some of this other shit is good too, but with something as subjective as this type of crap, of course, there's not much to write about.

Guilty Connector/Facialmess- Nothing Left Inside
The title says it all. Both fo these cats are good at making harsh, loud, fucked up shit happen with objects that screech. This shit is long. The facialmess side is just one continous, fucked up, agonizing screeching bit of harsh ass noise. The Guilty Connector side is like, more than one track, and its a bit more endearing, but still super fucked up, and still just noise.

Guilty Connector/Bastard Noise/MSBR
Of the three, Guilty Connector take the cake, this one is harsh from beggining to end, and at the end, there is a weird techno beat for a while as well. Bastard Noise is what you would expect, the vocals always kill me on his shit, I like his ambient stuff more than is harsh shit, though, he just does that better, this one is fairly good, though. And MSBR is your typical harsh as fuck performer, total noise devastation, screeching, feed back loops, just layers and layers of fucked up mess.

Guilty Connector- Sabbath, Connector Sabbath
Low end noise, loud as fuck bass stuff on here. Good, not as harsh perhaps as the rest. Nice and short though, for when you only want a little bit of noise, not 25 minutes of harsh feed backed shit.

Nautical Almanac- Rooting For Microbes
So this one is unfinished, I got it from a girl a million years ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Its super harsh, American, I would believe, dont know anythgin about them. They have this one and a track on a compilation I have, and nothing more can I find from them. Probably not looking in the right places, but these artsy noise dudes fucking piss me off, so I tend to stay away, except, well, the love of feedback and fucked up things sometimes makes for strange bedfellows.

13 ALBUMS, A RACE RANT, AND SOME PICTURES. NEAT-O!!!!!

So I have a wide range of albums for you on this post. I have every genre with blast beats included, there is some death metal and death/grind, of course ye olde style grindcore, with that gory influence, some crust, a power violence record, and even some old school noise/HC, better known as noisecore. Pretty much only gore grind, to whom too much of the past posts have been dedicated and black metal, who I will deal with in due time are left off of the roster. However, before I present them, you have to listen to me ramble on about some issues that pis sme off. Its like that drunk guy on the bus who gave you a cigarette, and now is talking to you about his bullshit ideas all the way home. Lets begin.

The idea used today by nations to justify themselves and to create a national mythos is one that was constructed by a select few people on the turn of the century. It was heavily influenced by what had happened in the Americas, and was constructed to justify the First and Second World Wars. This new idea of nationhood and of national purity was made so that, specifically Eatsern, Southern and Central Europe, which have always, and I mean ALWAYS been multi-ethnic and multi-cultural king or fiefdoms, would have to be smashed, re-regulated and bent over backwards to the status quo residing in the west, in France, England and the Netherlands specifically. This was done extremely well, and after this idea of nationhood, destructive from its very begginings, and a piece of crap ideologically speaking, has served its uses to its creators, Western European leaders, it is still lives on today, and people have internalized it as God given truth. The stupidity of people is indeed baffling. And all of you who are on the left ro right of any issue, are just buying in to the same idiotic, preconceived deception, that was made depending on where people sat in the British House of Commons.
We need to abandon this idea of borders containing an ethnicity. It has never worked in this part of the world. The Scythian empire, pictured above, is a mobile empire based not on genetics or borders, or "country" of origin, but based on language, shared cultural values, and whether or not you were accepted into the tribe. That is what nationality is. The modern problems of Americans resulting from "race" are just as bogus as the territorial disputes in the Balkans, the war between Greece and Turkey, the civil war in Macedonia, or indeed any conflict in those areas int he 20th century, barring a few exceptions. These places have enough food to feed more than just their own populations, enough land that there need not be wars of conquest, and enough history of people getting along, that to dwell on these recent atrocities and blame each other for them is beyond idiotic. I think we should all occupy all the land, and understand ourselves in terms of mobile empires. It is not a solution for world peace, but it is one that makes sense.

Now for the grrrrrrrrrrind. Ima get the death metalish stuff out of the way first, cuz that is what I believe the least of our readers like.
This band, Orchidectomy. What can I say? This stuff is totally inhuman, it sounds like its being played by aliens, or monsters or some shit. The riffs are very hard to sink your teeth into, technical, but strangely timed, not wankerish, just weird and spastic, insanely fast at times, really chugga-chug at other times. I put their album "A Prelates Attrition" and their promo stuff in one folder. By the way this band is probbaly the most guttural shit out there today, along with Copremesis, Wormed and Pustulated. Super fuckin inhuman vocals.

Next up is the godly Malignancy. Weirdest band out there, besides Portal. Despite the tough, death metallish gimmick and the fact that they are giant metal dudes, this is a nerd band. The songs are about gross stuff, medical anomalies, psychological tension and maladjustment in general. Some of the songs are about killing people. Its a death metal band, after all. One of the innovators of death/grind, a genre I am not that keen on. But this stuff, and a few others make it worth my while.
NERDY DEATH/GRIND.

Next up is Necrovore's demo from the legendary 80s Texas scene. It is their only demo. It sounds so harsh, that many of you Disclose and Death Dust Extractor fans will shed a tear of joy, and the old school death metal genre will be salvaged, even for your type. It sounds like nothing else, I totally love this demo, although it is 4 tracks, and really friggin hard to get through.

EASY LISTENING.

This next one is also really fucking psycho. Masturbation (gotta love that name) is from Colombia and they play, like, i dunno, industrial death metal? Also frighteningly guttural, and the music is almost noise core, all you can hear is the hyper blast, it all sounds so tinny and distorted and fucked up, its a real mind fuck of an album, some mediocre riffs from time to time, but mostly just blasting and you cannot hear the guitar at all. Perfect for the nightly prayers of the blast beat worshipper. Smoke a fatty and you will pass out to this.

INDUSTRIAL MASTURBATORY WEIRDO GRIND.

This next one cannot be fucked with. Dead Congregation rule, and this is their full length. Old school, cryptic death metal, with new school death metal drumming (courtesy of the Inveracity drummer), but almost like a death/doom album with blast beats. These guys probably dont smoke weed, they just dont sound like the type at all. Its apocalyptic, heavy, doomish, but gets frighteningly fast at times, it is pure fucking evil. Just a great album, set new standards for death metal, I am extremely pleased that I bought this for only 10 bucks form NWN! productions, although I got mine on CD. I am sure this sounds absolutely killer on vinyl, I will have to pick up a second hand copy of it from somewhere.

That is all the metal I have got. The next stuff is Dahmer, from Canada, gore influenced old school grind with some d-beats, tons of mid-tempo blast beats, awesome riffage, just a great band in any respect, awesome pig squeal guturals, dual vocal action with awesome shouts as the second voice. Really catchy riffs, although all the songs are very similar. They are good, though, I like em tons, and I want to present some of their more obscure stuff, since everybody knows like 2-3 albums or splits from this band, and they were much more prolific than that. They also had a bunch of lo-fi recordings, and these are the ones I wanna talk about.
First up, their 3 way split tape with Diarhée Mentále, also from Canada, and Carcass Grinder, for whom my love has already been professed. If not, they are one of the greatest grindcore bands out there. Pretty much it. DM sounds similar to Dahmer, but sillier and crustier, in some ways. They have cookie monster vocals all the livelong day. I think they might have shared some members. Anyway, tape is fairly lo-fi, Dahmer side still sounds good, though.

Next one is their demo, Dahmerized, which is like 3 demos in reality, one of them sounds good, one of them sounds aight, and one of them sounds super crappy. This is classic Dahmer stuff. Not much more to say, great tape from a great band.
TAPE IS THE FORMAT FOR GRIND.
Just recently a post was made on Cephalochromoscope about Parade Of The Lifeless, being their full length. Its good, but not as weird and noisy as their split with Dahmer. I guess Dahmer just brings the best out of everyone. POTL is like a noise band, kinda artsy, kinda grindy, sorta metalled out, really really weird stuff. And Dahmer, they play real pro-like on this one, one of their faster recordings, too.
NOISE GRIND THAT IS NOT NOISE-GRIND.
The other piece of good old school grind is from a band that has been on this blog before, they are Jack from Hungary, and espite their name, they absolutley rule. This is one of their older albums, when they were way more crust influenced, its along the lines of the Step On It split, good stuff. The vocals arent growly yet, they sound kinda snoty and irritating, its excellent stuff, Levi is a great singer, and a hillarious front man. This one is called "Téged Akarnak" which means "They Want You". Its about the media and the military industrial complex. Excellent Hungarian grind.
SNOTTY OLD GRIND.

This next one is Masskontrol's flexi called "Recycle Or Die". It is funny, and pretty much the only Masskontrol recording with a fair amount of blast beats. Nothing over the top, mind you, they are a crust band. This is definitely their fastest recording. I do not have a physical copy of this one, it is very hard to get, as flexis tend to be. I do have their LP, and I will be posting that sometime, but not quiet yet.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FLEXI?
This is MK-Ultra. They are from Illinois, have Charles Bronson's drummer, and just released their discography on a beautiful double LP on Youth Attack! records. The moment they run out of copies I will be posting that as well, unless they tell me not to. I wanna get people to listen to this without paying a million bucks on e-bay for some vinyl. You can get that disco LP right here, by the way. The music is disonant pv/hardcore, with a bit of old, a bit of new, lots of really, really weird things going on. Song structures are very strange for me, unlike other bands. This is their best material in my humble opinion. Do not own a physical copy, but do have it on the discography LP, which is beautiful.
MIND CONTROL.
The last one is the noisecore stuff, really old, really fast, really sloppy, really awesome. Olho Seco and Brigada De Odio are both Brazilian old school noise hardcore bands. Brigada De Odio is basically a grindcore band, but way sloppier and really over the top with the noise schenanigans. Olho Seco are more of a crust/hc band. But also noisy. And fast. Brigada De Odio supply the blastbeats.
