Melano-Post

Melanocetus Murrayi are an excellent noise-grind-harsh, totally crazy, totally authentic mindfuck of a band. They are excellent people, as I have mentioned when I posted their split with Noituus and Praia De Vomito, earlier. Well, since then, Dimitris, their guitarist has sent me like 4 Cds, 6 tapes and a 7" of their material, which I shall get to work on ripping for you guys. For right now, here are 3 CDs, as the 4th on is the one I ahve mentioned above. Much love to Mao, Dimitris and LaLa for these.

The frist one is the split between them and PTAO, a Czech noise-grind band, it is friggin amazingly good, their side is one track fo non-stop noise barrage where youc an kinda pick out the instruments, but its really really just gut wrenching garbage noise. PTAO side has a long rehearsal jam sort of thing, not the best in my opinion, although incredibly tight. After that are 40 songs in 2 and a half minutes, that one i like much more, and then 4 songs in one and a half minute, that shit is the best.
BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGH!

Here is also the split between Final Exit and PTAO. I am only putting this up because it is so fucking awesome. Final Exita re a rcok and roll influenced noise grind, harsh band. Totally uniue, but obviously Japanese. Very good stuff, and PTAO side is also very strong. Uncountable amounts of short tracks.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!

Next up is their split with Vulgar Nausea. The Melanocetus side is basicaly white noise, with really low, distorted vocals, and a washing machine or something in the background. Cool intro stuff as well, one long track of total noise, the drums are not very audible on this one, and the drums are always pretty quiet with this band, but here they are mostly indistinguishable form the rest of the background noise. Vulgar Nausea side is similar to Napalmed and other such power electronics things. Its really hit or miss, if you like that sort fo thing, you will like them for sure. Very experimental, off the grid type of shit.
BRUUUUUU-UUU-UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

The last tidbit is the Harsher Than Life 4 way, which is a toss up between Potabilizadora, Melanocetus Murrayi, Funeral Mongoloids and Colico. Potabilizadora are a sort of techno influenced harsh noise band, with gameboy stuff and interesting samples, also something that sounds like a guitar, but mostly white noise and harsh bursts of feed back. The melano side is even more fucked up and lurking and bestial than their usual efforts. on this one it is particularly harsh, the vocals are a little bit more human, but still very far from it. It sounds like deep sea creatures fucking up a sound studio. Funeral Mongoloids seems to be harsh noise with drums and screaming over it. There is also a lot of intros of a dude speaking what I presume to be Swedish. Also, they remind me a lot of Deche-Charge. Colico is really weird, they have like samples but also grind, and are sort of nicely recorded, its just strange.
GGGRRRRRRR-AAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!

So yeah, more like that once i feel good enough to go over to Marci's to rip tapes. Right now I am ill from standing in the cold for 40 days. Also, my vinyl rips are coming along, but they still suck, but soon this will be a problem of the past.

VÉRSZAROSFASZ

the title sums it up really good. it means 'bloodshittycock' in hungarian, reflects the attitude of DIN-ADDICT, one of my alltime favourite bands. never heard of them? shame on you. theyre like one of the first grindcore bands from hungary who toured europe, played at obscene extreme fest (i guess in 2000 or so...), had a shitloada releases, and maybe even more line-up changes. i try to collect every single shit they had ever puked out from their digestive systems of grind, drugged out gory shit and most of all, pure noise. i try to talk about this band without too much childish fanatism, but it might be a problem for me, i adore this band too much. it has everything that i (and probably you too) need. shitty quality (on their later releases they went to studio, but sounds still very noisy and chaotic), sloppy blasts and d-beats, veryveryvery low tuned guitars -, sounds like a fuckin tornado of chainsaws! -,grows, screams, sometimes pitchshifted vocals (which i usually dont like, but this time i have to make an exception). i couldnt see the band live, i missed their later shows, altho i wanted to go, i still feel sorry i didnt make it. their best shit was sadly unreleased, a demo recording from 2005, ill try to beg for it at one of the singers who i happen to be friends with.
they split up due to personal problems. the drummer plays now in german crust-grind band PER CAPITA, the guitarist runs a studio called NOISE LAB, one of the singer plays in many bands (more experimental, druggy, industrial-oriented shit, called RONCSIPAR, FUTURE REALM), and i dont know shit about the other singer. after they broke up, they formed again under the name of LONG PIG, which they titled 'turbo sludgecore', with a different drummer from hungarian gore band MY FIRST KNIFE. that band was more into monolithic and i dont know how to say but 'cyber' grind. altho it wasnt cybergrind even a bit. so, some releases from these fine men:

the first shit is the OBLITERATE / DIN-ADDICT split, which rules. obliterate are a slovakina grind band as i know, but i might be wrong. the play a bit metalic grind stuff, too 'good' for my ears, i dont really like their stuff, but its nice to listen to it sometimes. the other side is awesome, loud, agressive, drugged out, pure din-addict. the last song is the best song on the album, period. describes themselves perfectly. grind going to some psychedelic stonerish stuff with gory vocals and some really serious atmosphere.
DOWN-LOWED.

next up is the split with GRINDUSTRY from netherlands. too death metal for me. too techy. too many vocal skills, sorry, kill me for this, i dont like them that much. but as always, din-addict rules here.
GRIND IT.

the last shit is the full length of din-addict, titled MUSIC FOR OPEN MINDS, you can see an awesome picture of the cover up there, it looks like that. this album is typical din-addict. dual vocals, low, grunty guitars, sloppy drums, noisy as hell. end of story.
OPEN UP.

the last two stuff are a special combo from all the tracks of a side-project of the 'mid din-addict' members, called SZARGYEREK, which simply means shitkid, refering to all you fuckin annoying cock rock kids. drum machine grind, which i usually hate, but again, i have to make an exception. songs are about hatred towards teenagers in hungary. my message to all you dickheads: die. this is what szargyerek said to you too. both demos were released together on a double 7" by Undislessed Records, Skud Records, Toxic Productions in a split with Anubis, Critical Mass and Malignant Tumour.
Miért van ennyi megvezetett álrokkker Tankcsapdás köcsög?

thank you. marci. <3

shoot the flying luttenbacteria cult.

i have nothing special to say right now, just some really fast and noisy shit to show.
sorry, i cant rant and rave that much as mark, but soon ill come up with something he does all the time. but heres a really cool picture, i laughed on it for like an hour. enjoy.

first stuff is a demo from leeds based power violence band SHOOT THE BASTARD. i know the drummer for years, but we havent talked for a while now, but warren does really awesome stuff on this little demo. straight ahead, noisy and fuckin raw, no bass, and agressive. really good.
shoot it.

next up is a concept album by one of my favourite bands of all time, THE FLYING LUTTENBACHERS. its something like black metal inspired inside-out noisy free jazz chaos. really evil stuff, part 4 is one of the best songs ever written. weasel walter plays insanely fast blastbeats, as well as mick barr and ed rodriguez on guitar. the bass player is mike green from noise band BURMESE. gotta check this out if you dont know the luttenbachers yet, this is a really good starting point to love them.
void of void of void of void.

and the last thing in this post today is a live set of BACTERIA CULT, a project of chris dodge, power violence living legend and pioneer from bands like spazz, despise you, lack of interest, etc, you know. this stuff is a lot like usual power electronics/harsh noise acts, but with 4 members, really cool stuff. sounds like early bastard noise records to me, i love it.
get the D-ZEEZ.

/////////\\\\\\\\\\ <- this is a mustache.

hey there worshippers. this post will be about some really obscure, noisy and untalented music again, but now im going to borrow some links from my friend Sasho, who runs YOUBLEEDWESMILE, which is full with KVLT STVFF.

so the first kvlt shit is Anal Macabre's epos, the favourite albumtitle of the blastbeat worshippers, UNTALENTED BOYS. its a lot like Sauerkraut, awful noisy stuff, sloppy playing, and horrible quality. you cant hate it, its a terror listening to it, but its so satisfying in a way. it was recorded in 1995, 22 tracks, each fuckin awesome. mark could bitch about this record for hours, i cant, im too lazy right now, and mark is somewhere in germany selling hats or something like that.

untalented and fucked up

next up is an epic album from Sauerkraut from bulgaria (AM is from bulgaria too by the way). you know them. i dont have to talk about it. its pure noise without any talent. fuck yeah.

*bulgarian title i cannot translate*

thanks for reading or not. marci.

BLEEEAAAARGHHHH!!!!!!!

everybody who is familiar with power violence knows what this word of expression was meant to be. when it came out it was the ultimate compilation, and it still is. it was released by the ultimate, the one and only chris fuckin dodge's (from spazz, lack of interest, despise you legend for you dumb fucks who dont know) label, SLAP-A-HAM records.

Bleeeaaaarghhhhh! was a compilation of compilations. it had 3 volumes, having every notable band from that time from every kinds of scenes and styles, but the aim and the message was the same. the aim was to have a lot of bands with songs less than a few seconds, fast as fuck ripping hardcore only. and the message was music war (as the 3rd Bleeeaaaarghhhhh!'s title said, the music war.)

download it, or i will never ever like you.

P-P-P-P-P-POWER VIOLENCE!!!!!!

SO THIS POST WILL BE DEDICATED TO THE MUSIC GENRE I REALLY LOVE, POWER VIOLENZ. (caps lock is epic) hopefully ill make it a megapost, depends on my mood right now. hehe

KENT BROCKMAN - CRUSTCORE VIOLENCE
kent brockman is from the simpsons. he reads the news. get it? btw this is some sweetass german pv, really well played, 2 songs only, really fast and agressive. nothing much more to say about. love it.

LOW THREAT PROFILE - S/T 7"
pv supergroup. has members of infest, no comment and lack of interest. what more should i say? one of the best pv releases!

REAL REGGAE - MAZE + THC BEST
i love this band. its mostly about getting high and listening to this shit. the title says all. its not that typical japanese spazzy pv stuff, its more 'mature' so to say, if i can say such thing in the term 'japanese hardcore'.

REALITY PART #2
this one is a compilation with awesome bands like INFEST, DYSTOPIA, ASSHOLE PARADE, etc.etc.etc., i could list all of them, only big names, really good comp if youre getting into this kinda stuff or just love compilations with good bands.

EDDIE BROCK - DEMO 2K9
i swear the vocals remind me of NAPALM DEATH. but the music is just plain simple, hardass power violence. really neet stuff, check it out if you dont know them yet. (sorry, no original artwork, but that pic of eddie is still awesome.)

now get high, and listen to some fast shit. thats an order.

most stuff taken from MINDGRINDER and some other blogs from the blogroll, thanks, you guys are awesome.

TEKKENTEKKENTEKKEN

Oh yeah, Tekken. A band I dont know shit about, only that they had a lot of splits, and a discography cassette (Past & Present), which I am introducing tonight here. What can you tell about a band named after the best fighting game in history?! Well it sounds like shit, its sometimes sloppy too, but its really fun to listen to. The song titles, their own songs' remixes and the covers (for example Slayer, Ac/Dc, Nirvana, etc.) are hilarious. Oh, and they have one of the best cover designs of all time. My favorite, the 3 Leatherfaces. Simple, yet fucking awesome. First saw it on the always awesome Buddha Khan, eternal thanks, dude!

Tekken - Past & Present

And what can you do while listening to Tekken? Playing Tekken of course. Maybe roll a spliff, turn your shitty-noisy speakers a bit louder, and play this awesome game in the light of your monitor at night. (the file is zipped into a 7z file, so if you dont have a 7z excractor program, download one here.)

Tekken 3 (game)

oh and i forgot to wish you happy 42. it was yesterday, i know.

sssssssssshhhhhh

So I decided to post some of my own favourites too... I don’t have anything to say right now, only that I fucking love this band, yet I don’t know shit about them. I only know that they’re from the states, and they play fast, haha. They have a chick as their vocalist, and she has some pretty sweet voice for music like this. I don’t know if they still exist, tho’.I first met this band when I bought a compilation tape called Thrashaholics Anonymous by Skeletor Tapes, from my local tape dealer, Dr. Slayer. The first thing I saw was the awful, but fucking awesome cover art. Looks like a kid’s drawing about a concert, and it has many-many awesome bands on it like Din Addict, Ulcerrhoea, Jazzus, etc. (I’ll upload the taperip sometime for sure!)

I was listening to the tape, laying in bed, I remember I was sick and had a fucking bad hangover, and all of the sudden a harsh and high scream yelled from my tapedeck ’YO FASCIST...’ . It was Fascist Trend/Bald Head from Hatemail Killerz. I was amazed by this band, and I still am, its so harsh, fast, tight, just what I love. Ok, I’m starting to bitch too much about how I live my life, so its better if I just give you the link, and shut my mouth.http://www.mediafire.com/?yw2rzzmwdxj

Here's a live vid about the band. Oh, and sorry, I couldn't find any other songs by the band, else then these songs. I don't even know what album/split/ep are they from. I suck.

Escape routes

“Escapism is mental diversion by means of entertainment or recreation, as an "escape" from the perceived unpleasant or banal aspects of daily life.”

This is the definition of escapism, as it stands on wikipedia. Routes of escape from monotony and control, without which we would all go insane. These are the little breaks and breaches in the system that make life bearable. The spliff at the end of the day, the odd hour of playing your favorite video game, the Friday night you don’t remember from getting absolutely wasted. There are ways to maximize the time you spend escaping form reality, and make it a habit, yes indeed, to spend as much time as possible educating yourself at your leisure, relaxing outside of institutionalization, that is to say, illegally, or legally, but in a way that is looked down upon. Every time you are in one of these situations, every time you escape, you are committing if something that they just cannot ban, then something that is considered immoral, antisocial, geeky, nerdy, in one word, marginalized. Escapism can be very productive, and is a means to create outside of the system. Take the tape distro that is associated with this blog, and is run by my esteemed partner, marci. It is just a waste of time, really, its an escape, making tapes, 20-30 of them at a time, he does not make any money off of it, he does not do anything grand or gigantic for the hardcore scene, he is not overthrowing governments, but what he is doing, is using his time for himself, to do shit that he feels like fucking doing, and using his creative skills in doing so. Every time I rehearse, or get high, or do the necessary preparations for doing so, I am engaging actively in escapism. This tape distro, this blog, my bands, my addiction to cannabis, are all escape routes.

The escape from structured music is noise. Noise can be categorized in many different ways, and in many different ways can one achieve making noise. However, in my opinion, the best is when grind is so harsh, so raw and so filthy, that it is basically noise. This genre is called noise-grind or raw grind. Whatever. I remember the first band I heard that did this, they were the mighty Gore Beyond Necropsy. I got a bunch of their stuff form Edwin at the Underground Collection, back when you could still trade him CD-Rs, before that somehow stopped. After that it was instantly love.

A böngészője lehet, hogy nem képes ezt a képet megjeleníteni.

This link is to 4 of their splits, the one with Disgorge (Aus), who suck really hard, the one with Senseless Apocalypse, who are a japanese power violence- grind band, and who also happent o be one of my favorites of all time, ever. And also, the classic split with Regurgitate and with Warsore. If you do not know who those two bands are, lurk more. GBN do it big on all of these ones, especially the last two. The Rgte sid eof their split sounds like white noise, almost. It is full of reverb, and the guitar is basically just static. GBN have a really unique, filth encrusted, short noise attacks, full of feedback, lots of low end, very deep growls, sounds harsh and crazy, with intros that are not too long, and are noot your typical intros. They are also fun. Just good grindcore, some of it is improvised, or sounds like it. A böngészője lehet, hogy nem képes ezt a képet megjeleníteni.
